Q&A with our Marketing & Growth Manager

Q: Tell us about yourself!

CD: I am all about experiences. I love experiencing different places, eating different food, meeting different people, and sharing different ideas. I like to spend my spare time outdoors or around a table enjoying good food and drink with family and friends. I also love basketball. I could spend hours just shooting a basketball by myself, which I often do now that I don’t play competitively anymore.

Q: Top 3 highlights from your most recent backpacking adventure to Europe?

CD: My top 3 highlights from my recent trip to Europe were 1. I am a huge beer fan, so being at Oktoberfest, the largest beer festival in the world, was pretty incredible. 2. Making awesome friends from around the world. 3. Meeting up with my parents in Dublin on my Mom’s birthday

Q: What do you look forward to most about being a part of the porpoise team?

CD: The atmosphere in the office is incredible. I am most excited about being a part of a group of people who are passionate about making positive change.

Q: If you could learn to do anything, what would it be

CD: If I could learn to do anything, it would be to speak a whole bunch of different languages. I would love to be able to communicate with others in their own language.

Q: If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor

CD: My greatest mentor to date has been my grandfather, and I wouldn’t give that one up for any other. But if I had to choose, I would say Yvon Chouinard, the founder of Patagonia.

Q: What was your greatest moment as a child?

CD: I can’t actually think of a single greatest moment as a child, but I definitely have a collection of moments that stand out for me. I used to go on several canoe/camping trips each year, for a few days at a time. Those are my fondest memories for sure.
